I’m Anastasia — Greek + Puerto Rican, born and raised in Chicago, now based in LA. I’m a stylist, mentor, educator, and founder of Wealthy Stylist — and a proud Luna Method educator.
With 20+ years behind the chair and a multi six-figure business built from scratch after moving to a new city, I’ve learned what actually works — and now I teach other stylists how to build the business (and life) they’ve been dreaming about.

2 Day IN PERSON,HANDS ON Class
30 Days Prior to class date there will be Pre-Training. In this pre- training you will utilize our Virtual Certification where you will learn The Luna Method step by step with intricate feedback between each module.
Participate in Live Grading, housed in our APP and potentially earn a certification by passing 2 human installs and corresponding growouts with an 80% or higher.
Additionally to your In-person experience portion of your class you will have access to the entirety of the The Luna Method APP which includes:

-The Canceled Coach
-Advanced Methodology
-The Client Process
You will have access to the above and feedback for 6 months post the in-person experience.

The Luna Method works
1. Equal Tension & Compression
The key scientific principle behind the Luna Method is balancing tension and compression. By applying equal tension across the extension strands and the natural hair, you prevent excessive stress on individual strands, reducing the likelihood of hair breakage or thinning. Compression is used to secure the extension in a way that allows for natural movement, avoiding tightness that could lead to discomfort or damage while utilizing the bone structure of the client rather than the beads themselves.
• Physics: The forces at play—tension (pulling) and compression (pressing)—are carefully balanced to ensure they don’t exceed the hair’s natural tolerance. This precise balance avoids overloading the hair follicles and distributes the weight evenly across the scalp
2. Even Distribution of Weight
The method uses a consistent distribution of weight along the natural hair, which ensures that no one strand carries more load than it should. This principle works similarly to how a bridge is built—weight is evenly spread across the structure to avoid excessive pressure in any one area. We do this by not only the shape, hand positioning and tension placed upon the bead section but with a primary focus on the bone placement in which a row is established. Utilizing the bones of the head to support the weight of the row and not utilizing bead work as anchors establishes consistent weight distribution.
• Physics: This equal distribution minimizes the risk of follicle damage or traction alopecia, which can happen when extensions are too heavy and/or too tight in certain areas.
3. Customization for Different Hair Types
The Luna Method is adaptable for different hair types, from fine to coarse hair. The science behind this lies in understanding that different hair textures require different amounts of tension and compression to ensure secure and natural results.
• Material Science: Different hair types react differently to tension and compression forces, so by adjusting these forces to the needs of the individual client’s hair, the method ensures longevity and comfort.
4. Non-Damaging Bonding Techniques
The Luna Method not only avoids the use of harsh adhesives or a plethora of beads that add bulk, can cause damage or irritate the scalp. Instead, it focuses on creating a gentle, long-lasting hold through carefully controlled tension and placement when properly installed, we love to say, “our beadwork is zero tension”- meaning zero manual tension.
• Biomechanics: The application process minimizes the risk of stress on the hair follicles, ensuring the client’s natural hair isn’t compromised. With no adhesive and minimal beads pulling on the hair, the shape of our bead sections in conjunction with the additional properties of the Luna Method assure that the natural growth pattern is preserved.
5. Low-Maintenance Longevity
Thanks to the physics of tension and compression working in harmony, the Luna Method allows extensions to remain secure for longer periods of time with minimal maintenance. This reduces the need for frequent reapplication, allowing the natural hair to grow without stress. The majority of clients bode well with 8 week row adjustments, though due to installation quality, home care and biology this. can vary.
• Kinetics: The natural movement of the hair, combined with the balanced installation, allows extensions to move as naturally as the client’s own hair, preventing tangling or uncomfortable pulling that would typically necessitate frequent maintenance.
6. Scalp Health and Comfort
The precision of the method when customized and applied properly, ensures that no part of the hair extension is excessively pulling on the scalp, leading to discomfort or damage. This is crucial for long-term wear, as consistent pressure on the scalp can lead to irritation or hair thinning over time.
• Anatomy: By avoiding unnecessary pressure on the scalp and hair follicles, the Luna Method promotes healthier hair growth, reducing the risk of scalp irritation or follicle damage.
FAQs
Doesn’t stitching to the hair that’s in the bead cause damage!?
I know that’s how it can seem, but no- we do not stitch to the hair! The placement of our beads keeps the hair in natural fall with ZERO manual tension- but also prevents any of the hair from being pulled tight minimizing pain or damage.
How long does it take to do Luna?
Timing is subject to change based on your experience level, attention to detail and the type of appointment that you offer. On average, our experienced artists take 35 minutes to an hour to install a row.
Why is a tool kit not provided with a Luna Method ticket?
We are dedicated to promoting eco-friendliness. We recognize that as artists, many of you likely possess the majority of the required tools for extensions. To minimize waste and lessen our environmental footprint, we've chosen to supply you with links to Ashlee's top-recommended tools instead. This allows you to acquire only what you're missing, supporting our shared goal of making a positive impact on the environment, no matter how small.
Why is pre-training mandatory for in-person classes?
We want you to have as much practice as possible before class. That way you have a solid foundation before attending. We want you to get the most out of your investment! This allows “basic” motions to be mastered to ensure less fumbling and more refinement in-person. With pre-training, you are able to ask introductory questions about the method prior to meeting and utilize in-person time for more advanced queries!
Can Luna be done on curly clients?
Absolutely, the Luna Method can be customized for all textures!
Is Luna only for fine-haired clients?
No, the Luna Method is for all hair types. The flat corners make it really great for fine and thin-haired clients. Sparse clients would be your highest risk but customizations can still be made.
Will I be certified after taking the class?
No, the Luna Method does not believe in handing out certifications. Frankly due to handing them out for participation and completion, they tend to be meaningless. At The Luna Method, you can elect to EARN a certification. Certifications should define mastery. To earn your certification, you must submit human installs until you pass TWO installs and TWO corresponding grow-outs with 80% or higher with in your purchased time.
